The Advanced Practice and AI Lab is a research and innovation hub dedicated to transforming healthcare through advanced clinical roles and intelligent technologies. Leb by Dr. Andrews Tawiah at the School of Physical Therapy, Western University. Our team brings together interdisciplinary expertise in health professions education, clinical research, and artificial intelligence to explore new models of care that improve access, quality, and outcomes.

Our work focuses on developing and evaluating advanced practice physiotherapy models across primary care, emergency departments, and the interface between primary and secondary care. In parallel, we harness the power of generative AI to enhance clinical reasoning through case-based learning, support decision-making, and revolutionize how health professionals are trained.
